- 1 gal. whole cucumbers
- 4 Tbsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. pickling spice
- 4 Tbsp. alum
- white vinegar
- 10 c. sugar
Directions

1Wash cucumbers.

2Put in gallon jar.

3Add salt, pickling spice and alum. Fill the jar with vinegar.

4Seal and let set for 3 months.

5Pour off solution (do not keep).

6Slice cucumbers.
-
7Put in large container. Add the sugar. Stir well.

8Let set for 24 hours.
-
9(Sugar will make canning solution.)
-
10Put in jars and seal. Can be kept in refrigerator.
