Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. finely chopped celery
  • 2 to 3 tsp. curry powder
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 c. long grain rice
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 tsp. instant (beef or chicken) bouillon granules
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    In a 2-quart pan, cook onion, celery and curry powder in butter or margarine until celery is tender, not brown.

    Add rice, stir in bouillon, water and salt.

    Cover and boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes or until rice is done.

    Let stand, covered, 10 minutes.
