  • 1 unbaked pie crust
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. milk or 1 1/2 c. evaporated milk and 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Cream together eggs, sugar and salt.

    Stir in milk; add vanilla.

    Pour into pie shell; sprinkle with nutmeg.

    Bake in preheated 450° oven for 15 minutes.

    Lower temperature to 350° and continue baking for 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
