  • 4 slightly beaten eggs
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. milk, scalded
  • nutmeg (on top)
  • unbaked pie shell

    Mix well.

    Mix all with hot milk and bake in unbaked pie shell at 325° for 35 to 45 minutes until firm and golden brown on top and inserted knife comes out clean.
