  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
  • 4 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. milk, scalded
  • nutmeg

Directions

    Blend eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.

    Gradually stir in scalded milk. Pour into pie shell.

    Sprinkle with nutmeg.

    Bake at 325° for 25 to 30 minutes or until knife in center of custard comes out clean.
