- 1 recipe Plain Pastry
- 4 slightly beaten eggs
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. almond extract
- 2 1/2 c. scalded milk
- nutmeg
Directions

1Chill 9-inch pie shell while making filling.

2Blend eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla and almond extract.

3Gradually stir in scalded milk. Pour into chilled unbaked pie shell.

4Sprinkle with nutmeg.

5Bake in hot oven (400°) for 25 to 30 minutes.

6Pie is done when knife inserted comes out clean.

7Remove from oven.

8Cool 15 to 30 minutes.

9Chill in refrigerator.
