- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. Knox gelatine
- 1/2 c. water
- 3 egg whites
- 2 c. cream, whipped
- 1/2 c. nuts
- 1 box chocolate wafers
Directions

1Bring to a boil sugar and 3/4 cup water.

2Dissolve gelatine in 1/2 cup water and add to sugar syrup and cool.

3Beat egg whites to hold peaks, add cool syrup slowly and beat 20 minutes with electric mixer.

4Fold in whipped cream and nuts.

5Crush wafers; pour half to line bottom of 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish.

6Pour in filling and cover with remaining crushed wafers.

7Chill at least 2 hours.

8Dessert can also be served in parfait glasses.
