- 5 lb. damsons (very ripe)
- water
- 7 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. margarine
- 1 box pectin (Sure-Jell)
Directions

1Place damsons in saucepan with 1 1/2 cups water.

2Bring to boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

3Run through sieve and add water to make 5 1/2 cups juice.

4Place juice in 8-quart pot with margarine and pectin; bring to a full, rolling boil, stirring constantly. Quickly add sugar and bring back to a full, rolling boil.

5Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
