- 3 c. tart applesauce
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine
- cinnamon
- 2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
Directions

1Saute bread crumbs until evenly browned in the butter.

2Line bottom of deep 9-inch pie pan with browned bread crumbs.

3Spread 1/3 of sauce over the crumbs.

4Sprinkle with cinnamon.

5Add 2 more layers alternating bread crumbs, applesauce and cinnamon.

6End with cinnamon sprinkled crumbs on top.

7Bake 30 minutes at 325°.

8Serve hot or cold with whipped cream garnished with bits of jelly. Yields 10 servings.
