- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. Spry
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- pinch of salt
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm milk
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. diced apples
- 1/2 c. chopped dates
Directions

1Melt butter and Spry; add sugar.

2Cool to lukewarm.

3Mix in egg, salt and yeast, dissolved in milk.

4Beat in flour.

5Cover and refrigerate overnight.

6Let rise.

7Divide dough into 3 parts.

8Roll each into a 9-inch circle.

9Spread with melted butter; sprinkle with apples and dates.

10Cut into 8 pie shaped pieces.

11Beginning at rounded edge, roll up.

12Place on baking sheet point down.

13Let rise about 2 1/2 hours.

14Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes.
