- 4 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 sm. yeast
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. cold milk
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Mix flour, sugar, salt.

2Cut yeast and shortening into flour mixture like pie crust.

3Whip eggs and milk.

4Add to dry mixture. Let stand overnight in refrigerator.

5Next day divide in 6 pieces. Roll 1 piece into a triangle or rectangle.

6Spread 2 tablespoons of filling in center of the dough, leaving space at both ends. Place jam or fruits or chopped nuts.

7Fold in thirds.

8Pinch together.

9Place on ungreased pans (cookie sheets).

10Let rise for 1 hour.

11Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes or until done.
