  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 c. flour
  • 3 eggs

Directions

    Mix water and butter in a saucepan; bring to rolling boil.

    Add almond extract and remove from heat.

    Add flour and stir until thick and smooth.

    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each egg.

    Divide and spread on first layer.

    Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes until brown and crisp at 350°.
