- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon cardamom
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon clove
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 3/4 cups flour (as needed)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

3Beat in eggs, one at a time.

4Stir in spices and salt.

5Stir in first cup of flour, then stir in second cup of flour. Add remaining flour as needed.

6Roll dough into snakes, and with sharp paring knife, cut off evenly-sized pieces, about 1/2 t each.

7Arrange fairly close together on cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 min until lightly brown.

8Cool and store in airtight container.
