- 1 medium red cabbage
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. vinegar or lemon juice
- 1/4 c. red currant jelly
Directions

1Remove outer leaves and core from cabbage.

2Shred cabbage very fine.

3Melt butter in large pot.

4Add cabbage, vinegar

5or lemon juice, salt and sugar; stir to distribute.

6Cover and cook over low heat until cabbage is tender, about 20 minutes.

7Stir in jelly if desired.

8Serve hot.
