- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 1/2 c. raisins
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. bran cereal
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. oil
Directions

1Pour boiling water over raisins and soda in large bowl; let cool.

2Mix dry ingredients in separate bowl.

3When cool, add beaten egg and oil to raisins and water.

4Add dry ingredients and mix until wet (do not overmix).

5Equally pour into 3 greased 1 pound cans or loaf pans and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

6Cool for 20 minutes and remove onto rack, until cold.

7Wrap in foil and keep in refrigerator.

8Bread will keep for months if kept tightly wrapped.
