  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Karo
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • nuts

Directions

    Cook sugar, Karo, water to 248°.

    Beat 1 egg white until stiff.

    Pour 1/2 syrup over beaten egg white.

    Cook other 1/2 syrup to 290°-300° on candy thermometer.

    Pour over egg white mixture.

    Beat until mixture loses gloss.

    Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into lightly greased 8x8 pan.
