Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • dash of salt
  • 2 1/2 to 3 c. Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 can coconut

Directions

    Melt margarine and dates.

    Add all ingredients, except Rice Krispies and coconut.

    Cook for 6 minutes until all ingredients dissolve, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat and cool slightly.

    Mix in Rice Krispies.

    Form into balls and roll in coconut.

    Cool and store in plastic container.

    Will last up to 2 weeks.

    Yields 2 to 3 dozen.
