Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 c. dates, chopped
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 1 pkg. coconut

Directions

    Over low heat, melt butter, sugar and egg yolks.

    Add dates; cook and stir 10 minutes.

    Remove from heat; add rest of ingredients except coconut.

    Let cool; roll into balls, then into coconut.

    Makes 3 dozen.
