- 1/2 lb Pitted Dates (8oz)
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1 tbsp Milk
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 cup Rice crispies
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla
Directions

1Take your dates lay them out and squeeze them a little sometimes they miss the pits.

2Cut up your dates into little pieces watching for pits, I used scissors.

3Usually directly in the pot is easiest.

4Dates are very sticky.

5Add to the pot of cut up dates, your butter, &sugar.

6Boil until smooth, &stir frequently.

715mins maybe, on medium high heat.

8Once smooth, cool.

9Then add your mixture of egg, salt, and vanilla and milk.

10Then add your rice crispies.

11Mix together.
-
12Let it cool for awhile, dates get very hot.

13Once cooled.. Take some butter and rub it in between your hands.

14Then take a teaspoon amount of the date mix and make balls.

15Then roll around in shredded coconut.

16Let cool on a plate or parchment paper.
