  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. Rice Krispies
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • coconut or confectioners sugar

Directions

    Cook oleo, sugar, nuts, dates and egg in heavy saucepan on low to low-medium setting for 10 minutes.

    Add vanilla; stir.

    Add cereal and stir well.

    Allow to cool slightly, then roll into small balls and roll in sugar or coconut.
