- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk or 1/2 c. cream
- 2/3 lb. dates, chopped
- 1/2 c. coconut
- 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Boil sugar and milk for 3 minutes.

2Add dates; stir constantly until it makes a firm ball when tested in water.

3Add butter, vanilla and nuts.

4Pour on buttered plate or roll in wet towel until hard, then slice.
