- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. chopped dates (8 oz. box)
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. almond
- nutmeg to taste
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

2Add seasonings.

3Use part of flour to coat nuts and dates.

4Add rest of flour to mix, continue beating well. Add fruit and nuts.

5Mix well.

6Bake in wax paper lined pan (7 1/2 x 11 1/2-inches) for 30 minutes at 350°.
