  • 2 1/3 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. chopped dates
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. chopped nuts
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix all ingredients with fork until dates are coated with flour.

    Stir in 1 cup warm water; do not overmix.

    Pour into well-greased loaf pan.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
