- 2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. white Karo
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 c. chopped dates
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Mix sugar, Karo and milk in saucepan.

2Cook until mixture turns slightly brown and forms a soft but firm ball when tested in cup of cold water.

3Remove from heat.

4Add butter and vanilla. Beat until mixture cools and begins to thicken slightly.

5Add the dates and nuts.

6Roll out on wax paper, forming a long roll.

7Roll in a small amount of powdered sugar.

8Place in refrigerator until solid, then slice in thin slices.
