  • 1 pkg. (1-1/8 lb.) German chocolate cake mix
  • 3/4 cup margarine, softened
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk, divided
  • 1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 pkg. (14 oz.) caramels

Directions

    Mix together cake mix, margarine and 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk.

    Put half of mixture in greased 9x13-inch pan.

    Bake at 350F for 6 minutes.

    Sprinkle with chips and nuts.

    Melt caramels with other 1/3 cup milk.

    Drizzle caramel over mixture in pan.

    Crumble remaining chocolate mixture over top and bake for 20 minutes more.
