- 1 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1 c. boiling water
Directions

1Combine ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients (except boiling water).

2Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.

3Remove from mixer.

4Stir in boiling water.

5(Batter will be thin.)

6Pour into 2 greased and floured 9-inch pans or one 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes for layers and 35 to 40 minutes for 13 x 9-inch pan.

7Cool completely before removing from pan.
