Deep Dish Biscuit Pizza

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 6 oz. tomato paste
  • 1 small can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can (12) refrigerator biscuits
  • 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

    Brown beef and onion. Drain off fat.

    Stir in tomato paste, mushrooms and seasonings. Simmer 10 minutes. Press biscuit dough into lightly greased 9 x 13-inch pan to form crust. Spread meat over top.

    Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

    Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
