  • cooking oil
  • fish fillets or whole fish
  • 1/4 c. cornmeal
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions

    Heat enough oil to cover fish at least 1-inch to a temperature of about 375°.

    Meanwhile, dip fish in a mix of cornmeal and seasoned flour; then in the egg and then again in the meal-flour mixture.

    Fry for 3 to 6 minutes or until browned.
