Deep Fried Shrimp

  • 1 lb Shrimp
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 cup Self Rising Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tsp Lemon Pepper

Directions

    Peel and devein shrimp.

    Leave tail shell on.

    (If shrimp is extra large or jumbo butterfly them)

    Mix egg and milk in large bowl.
  5. 5
    Add shrimp to bowl.

    Mix remaining dry ingredients in another large bowl.

    Take a few shrimp at a time from the egg/milk mixture and coat with the dry coating.

    Place coated shrimp on a plate to rest.

    After 5 minutes return all the shrimp to the dry ingredients and coat again.

    Heat oil to 350F in a deep fryer or heavy pan.

    In small batches shake off excess dry coating and deep fry for 2-3 minutes.

    Drain on plate covered with a paper towel.

    Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
