- 2 lb. ground deer meat
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 4 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- red pepper to taste (optional)
- 2 c. water
Directions

1Mix meat and chopped onion and place in open Dutch oven or large skillet.

2Place over high heat and stir constantly until meat is thoroughly browned and onions are tender.

3Reduce heat and stir in flour thoroughly.

4Stir in all remaining ingredients and turn heat very low.

5Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring only occasionally.

6When serving, you may add grated Cheddar cheese to hot chili.

7You may need to add additional water while chili is simmering.
