Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 2 lb. meat (1/8 to 1/4 inch thick, no fat)
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. hickory smoke flavor

Directions

    Put all ingredients together and shake up.

    Pour over meat overnight.

    Works best if you have plenty of sauce for amount of meat.

    Place on oven racks or cheesecloth.

    Bake on lowest heat. Bake 4 to 8 hours until jerky will crack when bent.

    Remove from oven.

    Let cool and dry.

    Put into jars.
