  • 1 (2 or 3 lb.) frying chicken, cut up
  • 1 qt. buttermilk
  • 3 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 qt. Wesson oil or your choice

Directions

    Take cut-up chicken and put in large bowl.

    Pour buttermilk over chicken.

    Let set for 3 or 4 hours in refrigerator.

    Drain off buttermilk; salt and pepper to taste.

    Take chicken and roll in flour.
