  • 12 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (18 1/2 ounce) box yellow cake mix
  • 12 cup chopped pecans
  • 12 cup chopped dates
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 16 ounces powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    Mix butter, 1 egg and cake mix and press into bottom of 9 x 13 buttered pan.

    Scatter over cake mixture 1/2 cup chopped pecans and dates.

    Mix cream cheese with powdered sugar and 2 eggs.

    Blend well and pour over cake.

    Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
