- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 5 egg yolks
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 5 egg whites, beaten until stiff
Directions

1Cream butter, shortening and egg yolks.

2In a separate bowl, sift dry ingredients.

3Add to creamed mixture gradually, alternating with buttermilk.

4Fold in pecans.

5Add vanilla.

6Fold in egg whites.

7Pour into well-greased Bundt pan and bake at 350° for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
