  • 1 unbaked (9-inch) pastry shell
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. Karo syrup (dark)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. pecans

Directions

    Beat eggs slightly.

    Mix with the next 5 ingredients, then add the nuts.

    Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 400° for 15 minutes.

    Turn oven temperature to 350° and continue baking for 30 to 35 minutes.

    Filling should be slightly less set in the center than at the edges.
