- 2 c. butter (1 lb.)
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 c. sifted cake flour
- 2/3 c. milk
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.

3Add vanilla.

4(Total beating, 10 minutes.)

5Add cake flour, alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.

6Pour batter into well-greased 10-inch fluted tube pan.

7Bake in 350° oven for 1 1/2 hours or until cakes tests done.

8(If you use a dark-colored fluted tube pan, reduce temperature to 325°.)

9Cook in pan on rack 15 minutes.

10Remove from pan; cool on rack.

11Dust with confectioners sugar.
