- 1 c. flour
- 3/4 c. white sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. plus 2 tsp. cocoa
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. nuts
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. oleo, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 3/4 c. water (hot)
Directions

1Sift flour, white sugar, salt, 2 teaspoons cocoa and baking powder in 9-inch well-greased pan.

2Add nuts; toss lightly.

3Blend milk, oleo and vanilla and add to mixture in pan; blend into batter.

4Mix brown sugar and remaining cocoa and spread over batter.

5Pour hot water over top.

6Bake 45 minutes at 350°.

7Serve warm over vanilla ice cream.
