  • 1 stick Parkay margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 whole eggs and 1 egg yolk (save the white of fourth egg for icing)
  • 4 sq. baking chocolate, melted in 1 c. hot water
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. sweet milk
  • 2 tsp. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. baking soda

    Beat margarine and sugar.

    Add eggs (3 whole eggs and egg yolk of fourth egg).

    Add flour and salt.

    Mix the milk, vinegar and baking soda well; add to cake batter.

    Add vanilla.

    Pour into greased tube pan; bake for 1 hour at 350°.

    Ice with Seven-Minute Icing.
