Ingredients

  • 1 doz. clams, chopped
  • 4 slices bread
  • 1/2 doz. hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1/2 stalk celery, chopped fine
  • 1 medium onion, grated
  • 6 cooked potatoes, mashed
  • parsley, salt and pepper

Directions

    Pour clam juice over bread slices and let stand until soft; set aside.

    Mix all remaining ingredients well (mixture should be moist).

    Put into buttered clam shells or roll into clam cakes. Top with bread crumbs.

    Bake 1 hour at 325° to 350°.
