Deviled Crab

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh or frozen crab meat
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. grated onion
  • dash of hot pepper sauce
  • 2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter

Directions

    Thaw crab meat.

    Sort crab to remove any bits of shell; leave crab meat in chunks.

    Combine eggs, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, onion and hot pepper sauce.

    Stir in crab.

    Spoon into 6 or 8 crab shells, coquilles or individual serving dishes.

    Combine crumbs and melted butter and sprinkle atop filling.

    Bake in 350° oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until bubbly and brown.
