  • 3/4 c. dates, chopped
  • 3/4 c. raisins
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Boil together fruits and water; remove from heat.

    Add oleo. Mix this mixture with rest of ingredients all at once.

    Bake in a greased 8 x 8-inch pan at 350° for 25 minutes.
