- 1 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. vegetable oil
- 2 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 5 c. chunky salsa
- 15 oz. can rinsed, drained red kidney beans
- 15 oz. cooked sirloin steak, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. tomato juice
Directions

1In 4-quart saucepan, heat oil.

2Add onions and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes.

3Add salsa, beans and tomato juice; stir to combine. Reduce heat to low and let simmer until flavors blend, 20 to 25 minutes.

4Add steak and pepper and stir to combine.

5Cook until steak is heated through, about 10 minutes.

6Store 3/4 cup servings of chili in resealable freezer bags for up to 1 month.

7Each 3/4 cup serving provides 1/2 fat, 2 proteins and 1 1/2 vegetables.
