Ingredients

  • 1 envelope yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 tsp. dill weed
  • coarse salt

Directions

    Soften yeast in warm water and set aside.

    Heat sour cream to lukewarm.

    Add sugar, onion, butter, dill weed, salt, soda and egg to sour cream.

    Put in mixing bowl and stir well.

    Add flour to form a stiff dough.

    Cover and let rise until double in bulk, about 60 minutes.

    Stir down and knead a few times.
