  • 9 c. cold water
  • 1 c. canning salt
  • 2 flowers of dill, per quart
  • 1 green chilli pepper, per quart
  • 3 c. white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp powdered alum, per quart
  • 1 clove garlic, per quart

Directions

    Clean cucumbers and wash. Pack in clean jars. Add alum, dill and garlic. In a large kettle, heat the water and vinegar. Bring to a boil. Pour over cucumbers in jar. Seal and process in a hot water bath for 15 minutes
