- 8 qt. small whole cucumbers
- 1/2 tsp. dill seed
- 1 qt. vinegar
- 3 qt. water
- 1/8 tsp. powdered alum
- 1 small piece red pepper
- 1 c. plain salt
Directions

1Soak cucumbers in cold water overnight.

2Pack in sterilized jars cold.

3To each quart, add alum, dill seed and pepper.

4Mix vinegar, salt and water; heat until boiling.

5Pour over each jar. Be sure they seal.

6Put in hot water bath for a few minutes.
