- 1 c. salt to 8 c. water
- 1 gal. small whole cucumbers
- 2 c. white vinegar to 3 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. pickle spice, tied in white cloth
- 1 tsp. dill seed
Directions

1Cover cucumbers with salt water; let stand 24 hours.

2Drain well.

3Bring to a boil the vinegar water, pickle spice and dill seed.

4Add small whole cucumbers to mixture; just dip in and right back out.

5Put cucumbers in quart jars.

6Add 2 garlic cubes, 2 hot peppers (if you want hot pickles) and 1 teaspoon dill seed in each jar.

7Pour vinegar mixture over cucumbers and seal.
