- 1 gal. water
- 5 c. vinegar
- 1 c. salt
- 1/4 hamper cucumbers
Directions

1Wash and drain both dill and cucumbers well.

2Sterilize jars and drain.

3Pack cucumbers and dill in jars.

4If you like, use garlic and hot pepper.

5Put the jars of cucumbers in the oven and have them hot to handle before filling jars with vinegar mixture. Bring water, vinegar and salt to a good hard boil and keep boiling while filling jars and cucumbers.

6Seal at once.

7This makes 7 or 8 quarts of pickles.
