Ingredients
- small cucumbers
- fresh dill
- fresh dill stem
- red pepper (optional)
- 1/4 c. coarse pickling salt
- 1 c. vinegar
- 2 c. water
Directions

1Wash and pack cucumbers tightly in pint or quart jars.

2Add 1/2 head of dill and piece of stem, about 1 inch long, to bottom and top of quart jar (for pints use smaller amount of dill).

3Add red pepper.

4Bring salt, vinegar and water to a boil and pour over cucumbers.

5Seal jars and place in boiling water bath.

6Simmer for 10 minutes.
