  • 10 qt. water
  • 2 c. salt
  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 pkg. cukes
  • 5 stalks dill

Directions

    Make solution of water, salt, vinegar and pepper; heat to boiling point.

    Fill crock with cukes, placing dill between layers.

    Add hot solution.

    A slice of onion or garlic may be added to boiling liquid if desired.

    Cover crock and let stand several days before using.

    Makes 3 gallons.
