- 1 qt. vinegar
- 3 qt. water
- 1/2 c. salt
- 1/4 tsp. alum
- 1/4 tsp. turmeric
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- dash of garlic or bulb
- small hot green pepper (optional)
Directions

1Place fresh dill (couple of sprigs) in bottom of quart jar. Closely pack cucumbers in jars.

2Heat vinegar, water, salt and all spices and green pepper to a full boil for 5 minutes.

3Pour over cucumbers in jars.

4Reserve any remaining solution.
